Microsoft TFS connector installation steps:
- Install Java 32bit
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk-6u25-download-346242.html - Install Eclipse 32bit
http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/eclipse/downloads/drops/R-3.6.2-201102101200/eclipse-SDK-3.6.2-win32.zip - Install Team Explorer Everywhere by downloading the archived update site:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=53c27216-c4f0-48b6-9bed-fe1718a2e3b0
Once downloaded, within Eclipse, navigate to Help > Install New Software... press the Add button and add the Archived update site and install the feature. - Install Tasktop by following the steps at the link below:
http://help.tasktop.com/help/index.jsp?topic=/com.tasktop.help.ui/userguide/install-e35.html
(As there is no way to activate a task to track the time spent while working on it, there is no Time Tracking section available in the Visual Studio task editor.)
When it comes time to paste in the Tasktop update site url, use: http://tasktop.com/downloads/update/release/ide. - Once the install completes and Eclipse restarts, you will be prompted for your tasktop.com account credentials. Once entered you can begin to connect to your TFS repository.
If you have any problems with your installation, please do not hesitate to contact us for assistance.
