Git is a Distributed Version Control System that supports Mylyn. It can be accessed from Eclipse through an open source plugins called EGit. When you integrate Git version control system with Mylyn's task-focused interface, you gain the following functionality:

  • Automatic commit comments
  • Code to Task Traceability
