Bring Mylyn's Task Focus to Atlassian Bamboo and Crucible in Eclipse

Atlassian Eclipse Connector 1.0 Beta Now Available

SAN FRANCISCO, March 23, 2009 — Atlassian today announced a public beta of the Atlassian Eclipse Connector, providing integration with Eclipse for source code review using Crucible and continuous integration with Bamboo. Atlassian has partnered with Tasktop Technologies to integrate these tools with Mylyn`s task-focused interface. This approach dramatically improves the way developers conduct code reviews and interact with their build server which is critical to developing high quality code.

Code Review in Eclipse

With the Crucible integration, developers can now edit and comment on code reviews from within their Eclipse IDE. Leveraging the powerful development tooling in Eclipse brings the speed and accuracy of code reviews to a new level. Thanks to the Mylyn integration, code reviews can be managed and scheduled via an integrated task list in Eclipse. All resources related to a review are automatically tracked by Mylyn on the reviewer`s behalf, making it easy to resume a previous review or implement a bug fix with the interface focused on only the relevant resources.

Continuous Integration in Eclipse

The Bamboo integration allows developers to track, manage and monitor builds in real time without having to leave Eclipse. Key features include one-click launching of builds, notification of failed builds and the ability to view failed tests and re-run them in Eclipse making it simple to troubleshoot broken builds. For developers using the Clover Eclipse Plugin, combining these features with their code coverage analysis helps improve test quality, which ultimately leads to higher code quality.

And don`t forget about JIRA
